How to Apply Online for India Post GDS 2026
Follow these steps to apply online:
Step 1: Go to official website http://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in Step 2: Click on Registration and complete Stage 1 Registration with mobile number and email ID. Step 3: Pay the application fee online. Fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS male candidates. No fee for Female, SC/ST, PwD and Transwomen candidates. Step 4: After fee payment, fill Stage 2 Application Form and select your preferred Division and Post preferences. Step 5: Upload your photo, signature, 10th marksheet, caste certificate and other documents. Step 6: Submit the form and take a printout of application for future use.
Important: You can apply for only one Division. If you apply for multiple divisions, all applications will be rejected.
Selection Process - No Exam
There is no written exam for GDS Recruitment. Selection is purely based on merit:
- Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10th standard. No weightage for higher qualification.
